Brit Telly Headlines: 5 February 2019.

A selection of British TV news from the past week:

Anglotopia is now offering a feature sharing what British programming will be on which streaming services! Awesome. I hate trying to keep up with what’s streaming where.

Grantchester, season 4: Trailer.

Endeavour, season 6: Trailer.

The ABC Murders: Review.

A Very English Scandal is coming back for a second series.

Ohhh…Clive Swift died, at age 82. You may remember him as the long-suffering Richard Bucket (“Bouquet!”), husband of the indefatigable Hyacinth. Time for a Keeping Up Appearances binge-watch in memoriam.

Comedian Jeremy Hardy: has died, aged 57.

The cast of Poldark have finished filming their final season.

A new historical drama miniseries is coming to Starz: The Spanish Princess.

Sarah Lancashire to star in new Channel 4 drama The Light.

Idris Elba in talks to star in a new supernatural thriller. 2018 Award Winners. (Yay, Friday Night Dinner!)

The most popular TV show among young viewers in the UK? Friends. Yes, the American show featuring Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc. I don’t get it–do you?

Evidently there’s a new BBC Scotland TV channel!

I even love Brit commercials: here’s a star-studded one celebrating British Airways’s 100th birthday.

Hobbs & Shaw: Trailer. God, it looks ridiculous. But I love Jason Statham’s voice and accent (although you never actually get to hear him talk much in the stupid shoot-em-up movies he’s constantly in.)

Have a great week watching British TV!
