Brit Telly Headlines: 4 September 2018.

A selection of British TV news from the past week:

Poldark series 4: Trailer.

A new BBC2 drama, Trust, has set a premiere date (well, for the UK, anyway).

Line of Duty, series 4: has begun filming.

Outlander series 4: Poster.

The Crown, series 3: now with Tobias Menzies!

I don’t know what this means, but evidently the new series of Doctor Who is going to be “dark, funny, and squelchy.

Channel 4 is not going to let Netflix stream series 2 of It’s the End of the F***ing World until a year after it is broadcast.

ITV’s Vanity Fair adaptation: Review.

Downton Abbey the movie: has begun filming.

A new drama from ITV will star Anna Friel (she’s one of my favorites–first saw her in the excellent movie An Everlasting Piece).

I’ve never been a huge fan of Martin Clunes, but I also don’t think it’s very nice that someone once told him he’s ugly.

Johnny English Strikes Again (Brit movie): Trailer.

Actor Jacqueline Pearce (best known for her role on Blake’s 7): Obituary.

The Morecambe & Wise Show: 50th anniversary.

Have a great week, watching (British) TV!
