Brit Telly Headlines: 14 August 2018.

A selection of British TV news from the past week:

David Tennant’s new project is a comedy series for HBO titled Camping: Watch the trailer! (Okay, I just watched that trailer, and I wanted it to be more David Tennant, less Jennifer Garner.)

Mark Gatiss: Actor, writer, Mycroft Holmes, art enthusiast?

On Netflix now: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society movie. Not my favorite book, but hey, to each their own. (Related: These are the BBC documentaries that will only be available at Netflix through August 31.)

The creators of The Inbetweeners are working on a new movie: a spoof of Agatha Christie.

The BBC wants to know: who leaked season 11 Doctor Who details?

List: The Best Crime Shows on Netflix (they’re almost all British).

The Guardian asks, “Can British remakes of American shows work?” Although I firmly believe most American remakes of British shows are rubbish, I must admit I never thought about this question.

Have a great week, watching (British) TV!
